People who know how to repair cars will hate this book.

This is probably a fine book for a person who doesn't have a lot of experience with car repair, and who is looking to do some of the basics - it covers a lot of good, generic information, and it even covers some good information specific to the Jeep Liberty (2002-2007).
However, if you are a weekend mechanic who has done things like drop gas tanks, replace wheel bearings, removed a head, replaced a computer, replaced an exhaust head, or replaced an AC system ... then .. I think you are going to hate this book.
For those of us who know a lot about car repair, we buy manuals like this to give us the idiosyncrasies of a car's design ... I'm not looking for the details of a Factory Service Manual, just walk me around the car and give me the basic repair things I need to know which are UNIQUE to this model, and that I might struggle with trying to figure out. This is why I have purchased Haynes/Chilton manuals in the past.
So, what did I see when I got this book? First, it is much thinner than other Haynes I've gotten in the past ... for comparison, it is 288 pages, and my Jeep Grand Cherokee manual is 340 pages. This is somewhat of a big deal, because anyone who buys these books knows that about 100 pages of these books are car-repair-boiler-plate, generic to any car. In addition, this book should be covering two models of Jeep Liberty's: 2002-2007 (KJ Model) and 2008-2012 (KK Model), however it really only covers the specific nuances of the 2002-2007 model and I think an intern then was assigned the task of adding a few paragraphs about the KK Model so that they could market it to a wider audience.
Here are some specific things I noticed:
ELECTRICAL DIAGRAMS - The electrical diagrams look to cover only up to 2004, and what is there is actually thin - no mention of anything after 2005. The Jeep Liberty went through a total redesign for 2008. Anyone who works on car electrical systems knows that they need accurate wiring diagrams to trace problems. For comparison, my Haynes manual for ONE Jeep Grand Cherokee model has 30 pages of electrical diagrams ... this book, covering TWO models of Jeep Liberty's (KJ and KK) has just 19 pages.
SKY SLIDER - If you have a KK with a Sky Slider roof, there is nothing in this manual that even mentions it. By the way, the #1 repair problem with KK's is the Sky Slider, and yet the book doesn't mention that it even exists.
SCAN CODES - I have a current list of scan codes for a 2008 Jeep Liberty (KK model) ... this Haynes manual is missing dozens of codes that (I'm guessing) have been added to the KK model's computer.
I could probably write more, but I'm busy packing this book back up to return to Amazon. I should have trusted the other reviewers. I hate to spend $150 for a Factory Service Manual, but it looks like that may be the only course of action. :(

Not happy!

Bought this book for one reason - to change out the door lock actuator on a 2008 Jeep Liberty. Diagrams and pictures are for older versions and the little blip gives no information about how to remove the interior black panel under the door panel. Come to find out its a very lengthy procedure with removal of window motor and track. Mentioned nothing of this in the manual. Looked at few other things and they all show the older body styles. Very disappointed. They basically took their older manual and added some text. Haynes are usually great manuals and this one let me down.

it is terrible, as it is kind of an add on ...

If you have a 2009 or newer, it is terrible, as it is kind of an add on to the previous years. For example, to replace the spark plugs on an 09 or newer, there is a sleeve on the bolt holding the coil, the book states that it is a nut and the bolt comes from the bottom
