Great book but was identical to Margaret of Anjou which I had almost finished and already paid for. Website was misleading. Please clean this up make sure you clearly identify American versions.you are too late.

mayhem in the throne room

As with all Iggulden sagas this aims to carry internal momentum for the individual book while trying to maintain the core overriding themes of the series, in this case the Wars of the Roses. Successful? In short the core story is a rollicking view of the crazy carrys on of English royalty, and the multi level battles for the throne. But deep seated jealousies and hatreds get in the way. What has changed. A mad king, his fiery French wife and the gaggle of throne huggers to add spice, murder, plots and mayhem. There are few periods of reflection. This is a racy adventure and one that is a useful mind flush to add comic like entertainment on a wet afternoon. I will enjoy the next book in the series.

Long, Long, Long Time to Ship

Good book, maybe not as good as the first, but a good series nonetheless. Along with Bernard Cornwell, Conn Iggulden is a master at descriptions of warfare. I would recommend this series to anyone who likes historical fiction.
What wasn't good was the shipping. It took so long to get the book I actually forgot I had ordered it. In the time it took from order to delivery, I could have planted the trees, grown the trees, cut & pulped the trees, made the paper, mixed the ink, built a printing press, printed the book, illustrated the cover and read the damn book. It wasn't Amazon that shipped the book...some third rate reseller.
