Wow. Just wow.

I fell in love with the fever world from book one. I've read them all a dozen times by now, and yet this book still surprised me. It was painfully raw, emotional, tragic, full of adventure, exquisitely tender and a fitting wrap up to Mac's story. I wouldn't have expected anything less.

Fan-freakin- tactic!

It's a well-written and in depth must read to close out the series! Closes all the stories though not always in happily ever after- but that's why it's so great. The author allows the characters to grow and evolve, and others she allows to stay the same because that's how they should be. Thank you, Ms. Moning for not letting fans of the series down and staying true to the sometimes cruel world.

Teacher Use...It's pretty handy and fills out your test.

I use this product as an AP Human Teacher. My student's also buy a lot of review books on their own, so some of them have found this as well. There are enough questions that you can take some of them to supplement and not have to worry about some students having an advantage over others. I like this book because some of the terminology that it uses, like "fecund", is different than the Foulberg textbook, so it helps expose them to aspects of the AP. The difficultly level is actually higher than the 2006 released test and feedback has been that the multiple choice questions are changing their format a bit since the last released test, so this is VERY helpful.

I am an AP Human Geo teacher. I have gotten most of my students to buy this book. The Kindle version is so inexpensive. Since my students started using this book they are doing much better on their tests. I think it has really upped their game. I too, think the questions are more difficult than the past tests I have seen, but they really do help the kids apply what they know to challenging multiple choice questions.

"I bark twice because I want him to hear, I want him to know."

As a rule I avoid sad dog things. Not because I don't like dogs, but because I love them. For me, a sad situation with a dog is 1000x worse than with a person, and I just don't have the emotional capability to keep it together. But a friend of mine recommended this book multiple times over the past year, so I finally bite the bullet and read it.

And let me tell you, I regret nothing. This book was amazing. I cried in the first chapter and could not stop reading. The voice of this book is crystal clear. It's wonderful to hear a life told from a dog's perspective and Enzo is so much more than just a dog. He is a confident, a shoulder, a protector, and a prisoner. I love him. I love Garth Stein for doing this.

The one disclaimer I have, don't read this in public. I finished this book in an airport and thought TSA was going to have to get involved. So many feels.

A truly wonderful book.

I've read thousands of books, yet this is my favorite book ever. I originally read it when it first came out, but let a friend borrow it and she moved away with it:( This is my second copy.

I actually cried reading this book, and I am not a very sensitive or emotional person. I bawled like a baby. The book has so many happy moments, but the tragedies will break your heart. I like how this is from the viewpoint of the dog, and how he sees everything.

The story:

A dog named Enzo is owned by a man wanting to be a professional racecar driver. Enzo sees his owner go through marriage, life, death, legal issues, a career change, etc. Enzo shows you, through his dog eyes/brain, what it is like being there through all those moments. The book is not slow at all, has truly hilarious moments, and will make you want to hug your pets over and over. I am in love with this book.

Great read and a good cry

I enjoyed how this was told from the dog's point of view. Enzo, the dog, held on to the belief he would be reborn into life as a human after he died. His frustration at the limitations he had to deal with as a dog were endearing. More than this though, the story itself, about the trials and tribulations of his owner and his family, kept me intrigued and unable to put the book down. I give this book two thumbs (or dewclaws) up, five stars, and a hearty tail wagging recommendation!

Educational, but not representative

The explanations were good and had a lot of information. However, the questions are not representative of what is encountered on the exam. Use this as a tool to test general principles instead of more specific knowledge. Specific knowledge you will need on the exam, but a solid general foundation will help you in your actual medical practice as well as discovering in which topics you are weak.
